Maharashtra Police Bharti 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Police Constable, Driver, SRPF, Jail Constable: 12th standard (HSC) or equivalent.
- Police Bandsman: 10th pass qualification.
- Police Constable Driver: Valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license.
- Language: Ability to read, write, and speak Marathi.
Age Limit

- General Category: 18 to 28 years.
- Police Constable-Driver: 19 to 28 years.
- Police Constable-SRPF: 18 to 25 years.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for Reserved Categories.
Physical Standards
- Height (Male): Min 165 cm (168 cm for SRPF).
- Height (Female): Min 155 cm.
- Chest (Male): Min 79 cm (unexpanded), 5 cm expansion.
The Rigorous Selection Process: PET, PST & Written Exam
1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)
Initial stage, 50 marks (minimum 50% to qualify for written exam).
Male Candidates (50 Marks)
- 1600-meter running: 20 marks
- 100-meter running: 15 marks
- Shot Put: 15 marks
Female Candidates (50 Marks)
- 800-meter running: 20 marks
- 100-meter running: 15 marks
- Shot Put: 15 marks
SRPF Males (100 Marks)
- 5 KM running: 50 marks
- 100 meters running: 25 marks
- Shot Put: 25 marks
PST verifies height and chest measurements.
2. Written Examination
100-mark, OMR-based, objective-type exam (90 mins, Marathi, no negative marking, 40% to pass).
Syllabus Includes:
- General Knowledge & Current Affairs: Politics, economics, history, geography, science, events.
- Mathematics: Numerical ability, LCM & HCF, Profit & Loss, Time & Work, Percentage.
- Intellectual Ability (Reasoning): Verbal/Non-Verbal, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Syllogism.
- Marathi Grammar: Vocabulary, sentence structure.
- For Police Constable Driver: Motor vehicle rules, traffic regulations + Driving Skill Test (50 marks, 40% to pass, not for merit).
3. Document Verification & Medical Examination
Successful candidates undergo thorough document verification to confirm authenticity, followed by a comprehensive medical examination to assess physical and mental fitness for police duties. There is no interview round for Police Constable selection.
