The Motorola Edge 70 Air (known as the Moto X70 Air in China) is Motorola’s latest ultra-thin smartphone, designed to rival the iPhone Air and Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. It combines a super-slim design with strong mid-high performance hardware and vibrant display technology.
Design and Display
The Motorola Edge 70 Air measures about 5.99 mm thick and weighs around 159 grams, making it one of the thinnest and lightest 6.7-inch smartphones currently available. It features a 6.7-inch pOLED display with 1.5K resolution (1220 × 2712 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering vivid color accuracy through Pantone validation and SGS eye protection.
Performance
The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and runs Android 16, coupled with up to 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage. It includes a 3D vapor chamber for better thermal management.
Camera
It sports a triple 50 MP rear camera system, including a main lens with OIS (optical image stabilization), a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP selfie camera on the front. The primary sensor uses Samsung optics for enhanced clarity and low-light performance.
Battery and Charging
The handset packs a 4,800 mAh battery—larger than those found in rival ultra-thin phones—with 68W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging support.
Build and Features
The phone has IP68 and IP69 water- and dust-resistance ratings, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Bluetooth 5, NFC, dual SIM (nano + eSIM), and 5G connectivity. It will be available in three Pantone-certified color options — Gadget Gray, Lily Pad, and Bronze Green.
